Press Conference: Junior Seau interviewed by Michael E Lawrence 24/10/2009 Junior Seau the crazed all-star linebacker whos just unretired to rejoin the Pats is a scary guy. Hes erudite, polite, and well-schooled in media sessions like todays, but a quick tip dont try to put words in his mouth. Hell fix his eyes on you and let you know, unequivocally, that Junior Seaus not going to be making any statements Junior Seau doesnt want to make. And you will need a change of underwear shortly afterwards. Mean as Seau is, hes also philosophical a person that talks about life in general terms as well as huge admirer of his head coach: Diner: What is it about Belichick that makes him different to other coaches? Junior: Belichick is a leader, and theres one way with him, and its his way. So if theres any grey area, and you need an answer about something, you just ask him. Thats all we ask for in life just give us an answer, give us some direction, and well go. Diner: And whats inspired you to come back for this season is about winning a championship? Junior: Theres a lot to say about championships but right now its about helping this team win. In order for you to get anywhere in life you gotta take care of the little details, so for us to jump into championship quotes its too early. Right now its to help this team win, and if we can win consistently we could well position ourselves to do great things. Diner: What do you do to prepare, to keep turning back the clock as a 40-year old linebacker in the NFL? Junior: I just try to be the player that Ive always been that means being consistent with my workouts mentally, physically and emotionally.
