Diner Staff Michael E Lawrence Editor Michael E Lawrence once modelled his hair on Ken O’Brien. In the 16 years since abandoning the O’Brien bonce, he has written for Gridiron magazine, the now defunct First Down newspaper in its Stephen Anglesey incarnation, and spent time as a Production Assistant on Sky’s live Sunday NFL shows, usually running about in delirium putting half time highlights together or swearing at the hot chocolate machine.
Diner Staff Rich Lawrence Webmaster Fantasy Maverick Rich Lawrence’s Fantasy Football pedigree is undisputed. With a career .700 winning percentage across countless redraft and keeper leagues not least NFL.com Champions leagues and the WRUKSCFFL his fantasy instincts are more finely honed than T.O., one of the countless bad attitude superstars upon which his teams tend heavily to rely.
Diner Staff Brian Davis Writer Brian is an avid watcher of NCAA football, but for some inexplicable reason decided that following California would be a good idea. If life wasn’t hard enough he was already a long standing 49ers fan. Clinging dearly to the hope that the glory days will one day return, he embraces every high draft choice as the dawning of a new era in San Francisco. To compel his misery in sport even further, he has a season ticket at Reading FC.
Diner Staff Paul Emery Writer Paul Emery has been following the NFL since 1986 – hooked by Channel 4 with a little help from a Ken Thomas book or two. The basic concept of the worst team picking first in the Draft was something that got him interested in the Draft right from the off, but is now his main point of interest in the sport.
Diner Staff Paul Hopkins Writer Paul was bitten by the Cowboys bug as a boy – attracted more at the time by the uniform than the team. Since then, he’s developed an intense bias towards every Longhorns player in the NFL, particularly ones called ‘Vince’. He lives, and pretends to work, in Newcastle.
Diner Staff Michael Kavanagh Writer Micheal is a 21 year follower of all aspects of the game of football. Not only is he a fan of the NFL, NCAA and CFL, at one stage he even dabbled in the indoor game. He still laments the fall of NFLE & asserts if the NFL had a little less control over the players it may have worked. Living in Ireland he is a former flag football international & now devotes his time to fighting the chronic under-appreciation of the Chicago Bears and defending the honour of the Notre Dame Fightin’ Irish, especially amongst his fellow Diner writers.
