Both have quick feet in the pocket, but slow feet in their delivery … ( full article ) (… Archive: Coverage for the 2009 Draft …) (… Archive: Coverage for the 2008 Draft …)

The immediate future for these teams is free agency, but with no real progress currently being made with the Collective Bargaining Agreement, everything is completely up in the air. As always, your faithful Diner is on the case of the NFL Draft already. The big boards are posted all over the place from ESPN to nfluk.com, and everyone has an opinion. Today, Top Fives makes a double comeback as I’m going to look at who I believe are currently the most overrated and underrated players available in the Draft according to what I’ve seen thus far … ( full article ) Jody Jamieson 2010 Draft: Early Contenders Jody Jamieson takes an early look at 10 of the top prospects eligible for the 2010 Draft. April 21st 2010 With many draft day decisions being based on combine interviews and medicals that don’t make it into the public domain it’s difficult to be certain even where the big names will land. But who are the wildcard prospects that could go anywhere?… ( full article ) Michael E Lawrence Where does Dez fit? April 10th 2010 Dez Bryant is this year’s mercurial receiver talent with baggage. He seems to be the latest instalment in a headache-inducing line of diva receivers. So NFL personnel execs are wary, right? Well, not so fast. The fact remains that Bryant is the best receiver prospect to turn pro since Calvin Johnson, a better athlete even than Michael Crabtree. So where could Dez fit come draft day? … ( full article ) Chris Brophy You Can’t Mock Me When putting together a mock draft many things go into the equation in order to find the answer you think might be right for each team in the draft needs, player evaluation, trends, history, rumours. Even then though, there are still players who are an enigma for their own set of reasons. This year sees several players who should go in the first round but could go at either end of it and it is their fate that will make up many of the post draft stories. Here at the Diner, we shall attempt to pre-empt those stories and look at a few players who could go higher than expected or drop into free fall in the first round of the upcoming 2010 draft … ( full article ) Paul Emery Combine Review The Combine throws up tons of data, but what does it all mean and what have we learnt? Plus he highlights any speed type prospects that Raiders fans might well see in silver and black next season! ( full article ) Paul Hopkins Would a Bills-Tebow marriage live happily ever after? It looks as though the Buffalo Bills are the first team to show their hand and declare their undying eternal love for Tim Tebow, the most hyped college athlete since well ever really. If, as expected the two top talents in the quarterback pool namely Sam Bradford (who it seems is now locked to the St Louis Rams) and Jimmy Clausen (who might find himself in Washington, Oakland or somewhere indiscriminate after a big trade) are gone by the time the Bills’ time starts, they’re going to be left looking at the remaining quarterbacks, such as Tebow, Colt McCoy and Dan LeFevour … ( full article ) NCAA 2010 Season… Paul Hopkins Five reasons to look forward to 2010 in the NCAA With the Senior Bowl taking place yesterday and with a record number of juniors jumping ship to the NFL to get their hands on the money ahead of the end of the CBA and a looming lockout, I was drawn to begin wondering just who would be left in the college world to entertain this in 2010. I really shouldn’t have been concerned … ( full article ) NCAA 2009 Season… Brian Davis, Paul Hopkins, Ben Stockwell & James Izzard College Bowl Big Prediction Board There are 34 games in total and as has been the norm throughout the year, the Diner writers have been studying the form and have made their picks for each and every Bowl game! For those who are looking to overindulge in football over the festive period, here is the Diner’s justification for you to give your family / spouse / partner / pets / friends when seeking some refuge in front of the television, as opposed to shopping or visiting relatives or something else that deep down, you know you don’t want to do.
