EXCLUSIVE Diner chat with CB Antonio Cromartie by Michael E Lawrence 24/10/2008 Diner: Antonio, are you looking forward to the game on Sunday and do you think you’ll win? Antonio: I’m looking forward to it a lot. I’m hoping to be out there to do the best that I can do, and I hope the outcome is we come away with the win we need. Diner: Is it a crunch game for you guys at 3-4? Antonio: Well both teams are down at 3-4 so it’s definitely important. The biggest thing for us is going into this weekend and trying to prepare for the Saints as well as we can so that we do everything we need to get the victory. Diner: You had an incredible 2007 with 10 interceptions and a trip to the Pro Bowl do you think this season’s been as good for Antonio Cromartie or are there things you’d like to improve on? Antonio: I’m still looking to push myself and I try to get better every single year, that’s the biggest thing for me. I’m motivated to work hard and I think everybody should put that effort in to constantly improve. Diner: Do you think the Chargers are as good defensively without Shawne Merriman? Antonio: We’re the same, nothing changes we’ll still try to apply pressure the same way we did when he was here. We’re still a very tough defense to face. Diner: And are there any particular Saints that you’re focused on shutting down now that Reggie Bush is out of action? Antonio: There’s no one player we’re targeting, we just want to go out and play defense as a whole; we’re not trying to worry too much about stopping one person or anything like that. We’re just going out to play football! Diner: And final thought on London have you been able to actually get out and see the sights? Antonio: I’ve been stuck out in the countryside all week really so I haven’t had the chance. Diner: It’s some nice countryside to be stuck in though Antonio: Actually it is very nice out here. But wherever we go the people are great and I’ve really enjoyed it so far. Diner: So overall it’s been a good experience and you’d come back for your holidays? Antonio: Oh yeah definitely! Diner: Thanks Antonio, nice to talk to you and good luck Sunday. Antonio: Thanks.
